Sometime these companies give you between 6 months to 18 month of 0% interest free rate.
These are some few things you should do when you get one of these offers.

1. Transfer your high interest rate credit card on the new account. This will allow you to put all your payments into reducing the principal instead of paying interest.
2. Try as much as possible to use this chance to pay off the balance if you can.
3. Try not to charge onto your freed card; this will put you in a big hole than the one before.
4. In searching for the card, avoid the one that has a high transfer fee rate. This will not help since the fee will be put on your balance.
